In 2021, the Book House of Foreign Experts of our university was approved as one of the second batch of “book houses of foreign experts” of the Hebei Administration of Foreign Experts, and granted the plaque in April 2022. Covering an area of more than 60 square meters, the book house possesses 256 books in multiple languages such as Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and Russian, covering various areas such as politics, economy, and culture.
Our university pays much attention to management and services for foreign teachers, and actively establishes the book house of foreign experts. Meanwhile, it takes the book house as a platform to further strengthen management and services for foreign experts, strive to improve their sense of belonging and happiness, and tell the story of China, story of Hengshui, and story of Hengshui University well. Furthermore, it also hopes to promote international exchanges, publicize Hengshui University, and spread Hengshui in order to attract more high-end foreign experts to work in Hengshui University and enrich the cultural life of foreign experts in our university.
The book house provides services for foreign experts working in our university such as free reading, borrowing, and information consultation. It provides not only a good environment for foreign experts in our university to give academic lectures, read books for relaxation, and communicate with each other, but also services for those experts such as data inquiry, information consultation, and learning exchanges, which are loved and praised by those experts.
In recent years, based on the book house, our university has carried out various activities such as seminars, reading parties, movie salons, Chinese corners, and lectures, striving to provide better and warmer services for foreign experts.
In the future, the Book House of Foreign Experts of our university will continue to provide one-stop services for foreign experts and international scholars in our university, and plans to hold activities such as reading parties, movie salons, Chinese corners, English corners, lectures, and Chinese cultural edification, so as to enhance experiences of those experts in our university and establish an international campus with harmonious coexistence of diversified cultures.
