There are 66 faculty members in this department, including 5 PhDs,  42 masters, 2 professors, 14 associate professors. And there are 800 full-time undergraduate students in this department. At present, there is one independent teaching building of more than 16,000 square meters, including 4 classrooms with electronic pianos, 3 midi classrooms, six dance classrooms,  196 pianos,112 piano rooms, 8 rehearsal rooms: civil music rehearsal room, Guzheng rehearsal room, string music rehearsal room, wind music rehearsal room, accordion classroom, Orff classroom, chorus room, opera rehearsal room, and a professional concert hall of 800 square meters.

There are four undergraduate majors: Musicology (major in musicology, major in music performance); Dancology (major in dancology, major in dance performance).

Musicology (undergraduate)

Main Courses: Basic Music Theory, Solfeggio and Ear Training, Piano, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music,  Foreign music history and Appreciation of Works, Chinese Music History and  Appreciation of Works, Chorus and Conducting, and Harmony Basis,  Singing While Playing, etc.

Dancology (undergraduate)

Length of Schooling and Degree: 4 years, bachelor's degree in art

Main Courses: Basic Music Theory, Solfeggio and Ear Training, Classical Dance Basic Training, Classical Dance Body Rhyme, Folk Dance, Introduction to Dance Art,  Foreign Dance History and Appreciation of Works, Chinese Dance History and Appreciation of Works, Dance Anatomy, Rehearsal and Performance of Repertoire, etc.
