On April 8th, the student selection for the first international innovation class co-organized by our university and University of Central Missouri has been completed successfully. The work is divided into 5 parts: registration, preliminary review, interview, announcement, and admission. Finally, 15 students from 6 departments, which are Chinese, Foreign Languages, Electronic Information, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Biological Sciences, and Economics and Management, were selected and admitted to the international innovation class smoothly.

Based on the further promotion of the first Chinese-foreign joint program approved by the Ministry of Education, our university takes advantage of our own advantages in majors and international educational resources of American partner universities to open the “International Innovation Class” Program jointly with University of Central Missouri in order to effectively improve the international level of our university. The program is a “3+1+1” international education program of consecutive study for both bachelor’s and master’s degrees co-held by our university and University of Central Missouri, which is dedicated to cultivating international innovative talents with international vision, good scientific literacy, and excellent innovative spirit for the needs of China’s development, and provides more resources and opportunities for further study for those students who intend to strengthen their international study or go to study in America.

With the strong support of university leaders and the mutual coordination of all departments, the International Cooperation and Exchange Center completed the registration, preliminary review, interview, announcement, and admission of the “International Innovation Class” Program. In this time, 15 students were selected successfully, which shows the preliminary effect of international talent cultivation of our university, and encourages our university to further enrich connotations and forms of international exchange and cooperation, improve openness, expanded the space for development, and establish and improve the all-round mechanism of international exchange and cooperation with distinctive characteristics.
