On April 11, the sun was shining and the spring breeze was pleasantly warm on the shore of the Hengshui Lake. The grand foundation ceremony of the Binhu New Campus of Hengshui University was held in the morning. Wang Jingwu, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, attended the ceremony and announced the foundation of the project. The Mayor, Wu Xiaohua attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. There are also many other leaders present at the ceremony. They are Ding Rongfu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Railway Beijing Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd., Wang Jingang, Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, Li Honglin, Chairman of the CPPCC Municipal Committee, Ma Fuhua, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Publicity Department, Shang Libing, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department, Wang Shikun, Deputy Mayor, Secretary of the Party committee of the University, Wang Shouzhong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hengshui University, Tian Guang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Hengshui University. Vice Mayor Cui Haixia presided over the ceremony.

According to the plan, the New Binhu campus of Hengshui University is located in the east of Binhu New District. It aims to build a modern and open university of applied technology. It will adhere to overall planning, scientific layout, joint construction and sharing, and step-by-step construction. The building area of the whole campus is 743,800 square meters, including three types of construction contents: architectural project, landscape project and smart campus project. The project of the first phase covers an area of 242,800 square meters. At that time, a new campus with ecological harmony, openness and integration, greenness and intelligence will stand in front of the people of Hengshui. Hengshui University, bearing the ardent expectations of the people of the whole city, will also take this as an opportunity to unite as one and make great efforts to create a new situation and realize leaping development of higher education in our city.
